My thanks to all for an enjoyable day. My big surprise was the lack of 'real' harsh coats with some of the brushcoats being extremely soft. Mouths - as in bites - were good in the majority but there were some misplaced incissors and level bites on otherwise quality dogs which were called to account for the higher awards. All eyes were nice and dark , 98% being clean and dry. Pigmentation to tongue, flews, gums etc was excellent throughout.
VETERAN DOG
1st Butterfield's Ch & Fr Ch Forgevalley Pause And Pose For Chequerpei ShCM. Lovely way to start my day. Upstanding red brushcoat of excellent balance and substance, very compact and well put together with excellent front. Carries a good harsh coat which was missing in many today. Good head and almond eye, correct ears which he used well, well padded broad muzzle but at 10 years old beginning to show his age in expression. A truly active quality dog and a strong sound and powerful mover. Best Veteran in Show.
2nd Bull & Warren's Starferry Devil Rays. 9 year old black brushcoat. Good bone and feet, well sprung ribcage and well set tail. Would like harsher texture to his coat and more shortness in loin for balance.
3rd Wisbey's Starferry Born To Be Wild At Qinrose.
PUPPY DOG
1st Bull & Warren's Starferry Rocket Man.Clean dark almond eye and good thick ears. Well ribbed up, strong neckline into decent front and shoulder. Good feet and strong solid loin, well set tail. Active and sound on the move. Best Puppy Dog.
2nd Grey's Samsara Arch Bishop. Compact and well bodied with pleasing head, eye and expression. Lost out in front assembly to 1 and would like a harsher coat.
3rd Powell's Headholme Harvey.
JUNIOR DOG
1st Macknight's Mijujo Wa'ter Palava. Well balanced and carrying a nice harsh coat, decent shoulder, very good front, good bone and good depth of chest and spring of rib. Nice head, dark eye, particularly noted his lovely mouth and moderate padding to his muzzle. Strong and compact in body and just right in angulation behind. Moves soundly with precision and freedom. Sympathetically shown by his young handler. In the final four for BD.
NOVICE DOG
1st Chandler's Meixiu Hellfire At Chandshar. Very powerful package with super muscle tone and sufficiently harsh coat. Pleasing head with clean dark eye, well padded muzzle and good ears. Has lovely strength in neck and short loin, good depth of chest and good bone. Not using himself to best advantage on the move, in something of a hurry.
POST GRADUATE DOG
1st Butterfield's Jolerob What Bloomin Angel With Chequerpei. Attentive and active, this dog appealed for his overall moderation. Has excellent balance and within standard for size, very square and compact, has substance and masculinity without being overdone. Good head proportions, dark oval eye, good thick ears of correct shape, good neckline and strong solid loin, well set tail. Good feet and well ribbed up. Moving freely and soundly coming and going, just lost out in side gait for BD. Reserve Best Dog.
2nd Bull & Warren's Starferry Wots Yer Problem. Taller but nicely balanced, nice head proportioons, good dark almond eye, thick well placed ears and typical expression. Could not match the precise action of 1 coming and going but has good activity and freedom in profile.

LIMIT DOG
1st Allen's Headholme Am I Bovvered. Very masculine and powerful, certainly not making his handlers job easy. Good mouth and excellent pigmentation, clean dark eyes and broad nicely padded muzzle. Good chest, coat of harsh texture and correct hind angulation.
2nd Bull & Warren's Starferry Shanghai Style. Cream brushcoat, for me a little plain in head, though skull is broad and flat for me he is lacking the forehead and cheek wrinkle which gives the required typical expression. Sound coming and going but could not match the hind angulation of 1. In good coat and condition.
OPEN DOG
1st Grimshaw's Headholme Easy Rider At Sharpuggles. Sturdily built, a well balanced dog who has a great deal of ring presence and uses himself to advantage. Typical masculine head with lovely expression and a personality which shines through his dark almond eyes. Well padded broad muzzle, well shaped and placed ears which he uses well. Lovely bone and good feet, good neckline and strong well muscled loin. Carrying a decent coat. Correctly angulated in shoulder and hindquarters , giving an impression of great power on the move in profile. Best Dog and RBIS.
2nd Bull & Warren's Starferry The Longer Ranger ShCM. Strongly built black, well balanced and moving well coming and going. Noted his good shoulder angulation and placement, good bone, somewhat plainer in head and unable to match the activity, animation and hind angulation of 1.
VETERAN BITCH
1st Wisbey's Qinrose Call Me Madam. Carrying a harsh horsecoat. Nicely balanced, of nice size and well boned 9 year old. Lacks padding to her muzzle but has lovely mouth, clean dark almond eye, good feet. Well sprung ribcage with good depth, well set tail and correctly angulated hindquarters. Moving out well and enjoying her day.
2nd Wisbey's Starferry Scarlet Ribbons For Qinrose. Horsecoat, 11 year old mother of 1 with many of the same comments applying. Great temperaments on these two bitches and great coats!
MINOR PUPPY BITCH
1st Chandler's Jentiki Hello I'm Maude At Chandshar. Feminine, compact and very typy, Lovely head, eye and expression, broad muzzle and thick well set ears which she uses well. Good mouth. Well laid shoulders, good neckline, well sprung ribcage and strong solid loin. Well angulated and muscled hindquarters, well set tail. Good harsh brushcoat. Moves really soundly coming and going, active and free in profile. The whole presents a balanced outline and of ideal size. BPB and Best Puppy in Show.
2nd Friel's Kitten Rust. A new exhibitor handling but this 6 mth deep red brushcoat took to the job with natural showmanship, displaying good movement coming and going and holding herself with real pride in profile, covering the ground well. Lovely head, eye and expression. Of good type, she is balanced throughout and has much to like, hope she grows on a little. Sure to give her owner alot of fun in the future.

1st Morris' Ashowai Living The Dream. Quality stamped all through, well balanced and OK for size. Good head proportions, clean dark eye, broad well padded muzzle. Good front, bone and well knuckled feet. Short coupled and strongly muscled for her age. Lovely harsh brushcoat. Would like a touch more depth to her chest which gave the MP winner the edge for BP. Moved well throughout.
2nd Bull & Warren's Starferry Jive Talkin. Taller bitch who has lots to like but not really enjoying being handled today. Well balanced and sturdily built bitch, she is particularly strong on the move, hope she settles.
POST GRADUATE BITCH
1st Butterfield & Bradley's Jolerob Lovin Angels As Well At Chequerpei. Quality bitch who has superb balance and is of ideal size. Feminine in outlook she has substance and power throughout her frame and is altogether a very tightly knit compact package. Superb chest and front, lovely head proportions and lovely clean dark almond eye, good ears and typical expression. Good mouth, strong bone and well knuckled feet. Well set tail, correctly angulated hindquarters and with harsh coat in excellent condition. A really attentive and active showgirl she never failed to stand four square and moved with the same precision and freedom. Best Bitch and Best in Show.
2nd Andrews' Konishiki Lucy Lockett. Dark almond eye, well padded broad muzzle and good head proportions all giving her a lovely expression. Has alot to like all through , just preferred the chest and compactness of 1 in the final analysis. Moved well.
3rd Allen's Drakkars Dimonds R Forever At Headholme.

1st Wisbey's Qinrose Chantilly Lace. Very active and square bitch, lovely front, well knuckled tight feet and really god bone. Could not be faulted today on the move coming towards me. Pleasing head, good mouth, clean dark eye, thick well set ears. Lovely depth to chest and well sprung ribcage. Soundly and solidly built throughout, never let up showing for a moment.

1st Lloyd's Sharsown Jessica Rabbit JW ShCM. Very free moving bitch who excels in profile gait and balance. Good front and feet, superb depth of chest, strong neck, pleasing head, good dark eye, well padded muzzle all giving typical expression, Harsh brushcoat, good tailset. Would like her a touch smaller but everything fits well together and I could not deny her lovely type and shape and soundness on the move. Reserve Best Bitch.

Good front and feet, superb depth of chest, strong neck, pleasing head, good dark eye, well padded muzzle all giving typical expression, Harsh brushcoat, good tailset. Would like her a touch smaller but everything fits well together and I could not deny her lovely type and shape and soundness on the move. Reserve Best Bitch.
